This is 4-year-old Ajaiye and Luke in their standers. Ajaiye is from Aurora, Colorado and she had a Rhizotomy the same day Luke did. Her Mom researched the top 3 hospitals (St. Louis, New York and St. Paul) that do this procedure and liked St. Paul's program the best. (Aren't we fortunate to live within an hour of this great hospital!) Luke and Ajaiye are the only two kids on the unit now rehabilitating after rhizotomies.

What cool contraptions they have for you, Luke! I would love to see you motor around in that scooter, I'm pretty certain you would beat me in a race without even breaking a sweat!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you were all able to spend Christmas together at home. What a blessing. Hang in there...time will fly.

Dear Luke
ReplyDeleteI wish I could be with you! Are you working hard at PT with Amy?
My cousins are coming today and I went to the dentist.
Your Friend, Jack
Luke,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had a great Christmas at home! We were thinking about you and hoping! We went to two Christmases on Christmas Eve and hosted two Christmases on Christmas Day! We were pretty tired on Friday, so we just laid around and played with the new toys all day.
Keep working hard in P/T and remember to have fun, too!
We have to come back for Sam's first follow-up visit in two weeks, so hopefully we can stop and visit!

Hi Luke!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know we are all thinking about you and praying for you! I love seeing updates and pictures on your blog. Here's looking forward to an AWESOME New Year for you and your family!
Love, Allie
(p.s., I can't wait to build a Lincoln Log house with you when you come back to church!)
